Breaking Down my First Rip of 2025 Bowman Baseball

While I was in Target today, I saw the card vendor stocking shelves, so I decided to wait a few extra minutes for him to finish up. While everyone else in line rushed to the Pokemon cards, I grabbed the first four blaster boxes of 2025 Bowman. Overall, I am impressed with this years product.

Rip Highlights

As the first picture shows you, my first Bowman Auto this year was that of Edgleen Perez, a catcher for the New York Yankees, currently playing for the Tampa Tarpons. The grass parallel is new this year, but looks great, even though I prefer the true colors.

I like the Reptillian Refractors. I had at least one in every blaster box, however, the David Ortiz Jr. 1st Bowman will be going in my personal collection.

I pulled three #'d cards out of the four blaster boxes. The Dylan Fien Green Grass Refractor was right behind the Perez, which was kind of cool. Fien is a 19-year-old catcher for the ACL Athletics. Overall, cool hit.

Chase Mobley rounds out the last #'d hit of today's blaster purchase. This /199 is the Reptillian Fuchsia Refractor, and an awesome looking card.

While the Hobby Shop insert is on the lower end of recent eBay sales, this maybe one of my favorite inserts of all time! Such a beautiful looking card showcasing #TheHobby!

Final Thoughts

The first time I ever opened a Bowman Box was last year. My first hit: an Elly De La Cruz Orange Spotlight #'d to /25. My second hit out of another hobby box: a 2024 Jace Jung Superfractor.

While it's not about the big hits out of every box, today's purchase left me with quite a few fun options that I'll be sending to PSA and SGC.
